Bezon Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Rabindra University, Bangladesh. He obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees in economics from the University of Rajshahi and began his career at Varendra University. Recently, he got affiliated with the Bangladesh Institute of Social Research (BISR) Trust as an adjunct research fellow. In 2015, he founded the BK School of Research, which earned some international recognition as a youth-led research platform, engaging over 320 young research enthusiasts through evidence-based research. Mr. Kumar has authored 30 scholarly articles and book chapters published in high-impact journals and books. He presented research papers at many international conferences across the UK, UAE, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh. His research interests encompass climate change, migration and refugees, health, and well-being. In recognition of his contributions to youth-led research and development, he has received two prestigious national awards, including the Rising Youth Award 2023. He has also secured six competitive research grants from national and international agencies, including GIZ In addition, Mr. Kumar is a regular reviewer of several reputed journals such as Heliyon; Journal of International Migration and Integration; Journal of Social and Economic Development; and Frontiers in Public Health and an editorial board member for the International Journal of Interdisciplinary Knowledge.
