Md. Nazmul Haque served for Bangladesh Police for about 30 years. During this service period he provided service from various important positions in Bangladesh Police such as Rector (Addl. IGP), Police Staff College, DIG, APBn, Bangladesh Police, Dhaka, DIG (CID), Bangladesh Police, Dhaka, DIG (Admin), Bangladesh Police, Dhaka etc. He also worked as a National Consultant under Police Reform Program, UNDP. Later he joined as an Additional Director, Investigating Agency, International Crimes Tribunal Bangladesh. He completed BSS and MSS degree in Public Administration from University of Dhaka. Besides these, he also completed Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Master of Laws (LL.M) from Prime University.
He participated in various foreign and local training regarding laws, law enforcement, crime investigation, crime prevention, etc. Besides his service in Bangladesh Police, he imparted trainings as a Guest speaker in Police Staff College, Special Branch Training Centre, Police Academy, BRAC (NGO) Training Centre, Bangladesh Bank Training Academy, Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC), Detective Training School (DTS), Driving Training School (DTS) and also Part-Time Teacher in various renowned institutions like Forensic Science in LLM, Department of Law & Human Rights University of Asia Pacific, Forensic Science in MSS, Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, University of Dhaka, labour law, Daffodil International University, etc. He wrote many Children’s Books and Research Articles regarding the law and enforcement system such as: “Domestic Violence against Women: Contemporary Stand Point” Police Staff College Journal, 2014; “Role of Police in Combating Acid Violence in Global Perspective”, Prime University Journal, 2013; A Dictionary of Criminology and Police Science (Co-author), 1st ed.
