Md. Habibur Rahman obtained his Ph.D. degree from Kyoto University, Japan. He has a wide range of research and consultancy experiences in NRM, Climate Change, DRRM, and Community Development sectors for more than seven years. He has held the role of "Research Fellow – Environment and CC" of the BISR Trust since 2013. His professional responsibilities include preparing research proposals (research, baseline, mid-term, evaluation, etc.) including budget; preparing survey tools (questionnaire, guideline & checklist); training field staff; coordinating and managing projects; supervising data processing and analysis; maintaining liaison with clients as well as supervising financial management, and writing project reports. He was responsible to monitor or supervise the works of Adjunct Research Fellows (ARF) of BISR. He has research and consultancy experiences with numerous renowned international donor agencies such as USAID, IRG (USA), GIZ, Winrock International, JICA, Mott MacDonald, Ernst &Young LLP, CAFOD, Concern Worldwide, Water Aid, and the Save the Children. He has worked in domestic research-funded projects of MoLE, SSRC, and NAPD of GoB. He was awarded research grants from USAID, ICCCAD, BISR, GIZ, Winrock International, GoB to conduct research on various aspects of forest management, wetland resource management, project planning, development and management, climate change, DRRM issues in Bangladesh. He was also awarded the "IPAC/GIZ Youth Research Award 2012" by the GIZ on 'International Day of Forests 2013' with a research grant. He is enthusiastic to work in a team, take challenges, work creatively, and share his research findings and ideas in reputed publications. He has published 30+ journal articles, a book, 5 book chapters, and presented papers in national and international conferences.
